Multi-level Access Control; Improved Project Complexity Handling
When you have several projects going on, all stakeholders may not need the same degree of access to all projects. Use Mingle 2.1, the
Agile Project Management software, to set four levels of access depending on the extent of project participation. Manage workflow easily with automated transitions that follow gestures made on Mingle’s card wall views.
Highlights
- Access management for enterprises of all sizes and shapes; Mingle 2.1 enables teams to set four levels of access easily:
- Project Administration for those that need to change the structure of the project(s)
- Team Membership for other core participants (such as PMs, BAs, Devs, QAs) that form the core of the project effort
- Read-only Team Membership for named observers like Portfolio Managers and clients
- Anonymous Access for a wider group of stakeholders such as public community members
- Seamless workflow management with automated transitions to follow gestures made on Mingle’s card wall views
- Expanded functionality for Card Trees and hierarchies to allow for simple management and visualization of large sets of cards.
- Enhanced reporting and tracking ability with the introduction of card properties for simple traceability and new macros to enable write-once-reuse-often reports

Read-Only and Anonymous Access
- Organizations can now set up projects with anonymous access. (Special license agreement required)
- Benefits: This premium feature allows participating organizations to set up an access level on a project basis to allow a set of users to be able to view relevant project information without authentication.
- Examples: All the non-project, organization members are allowed a full view of the project without logging in. This is ideal for companies wishing to host open source or community initiatives.
- You can now add read-only project members that can view the project related details in a read only mode, but prohibiting any updates.
- Benefits: A level of limited access is available to project members who are not required any edit permissions on the project.
- Examples: For example, reviewers for certain artifacts on a project might need a read-only access to the project which is made possible.
- For organizations needing less than full capabilities for certain user types, a “Light User” license is now available for purchase with certain packages. (Special license agreement required)
- Benefits: Users only requiring read-only capability across any projects can be included on project teams.
- Example: For shops where customer visibility into the development process is important, use Light Users to allow certain customers to see sensitive information.
NOTE: Light Users will be updated in future releases to also allow card creation and commenting capability.
