A
production stack of
application and environment tools
- This free, open source LAMP production stack is for RedHat
Enterprise Edition and CentOS, and will allow users to quickly put
Rails applications on production servers.
- ThoughtWorks will also offer paid, 24x7 support for this stack
in mid-July.
Developer tools
- CruiseControl.rb is an open source, continuous integration tool
written in Ruby by ThoughtWorks. It's free to download and use.
- ThoughtWorks supports JRuby – which allows Ruby developers to
use existing Java libraries and deployment infrastructure. If you're
considering building an application in JRuby, we'll provide paid
support options in mid-July to help you get up and running.
Frameworks and libraries
- This area is coming soon, so stay tuned.
Over time, we will continue to release new products and services as
part of RubyWorks – all of which will be designed for simplicity and to
preserve the values of the Ruby community.
As the Ruby development community grows, so will the likelihood that
'enterprise' tool vendors will come knocking. ThoughtWorks is committed
to working with the community to build solutions to enterprise
problems, not adding to the bloat of 'enterprise' software.
Moving forward, every RubyWorks project will include:
- Consultancy and implementation services.
- 24x7 support services.
- Clean and easy to read documentation.
